AFV clubs WC51 weapons carrier

A good build, afv club does good kits i have to say. Instructions are easy to follow and the detail is very very good. I didnt use any upgrade kits. I added cargo from my many leftover parts from other kits as well as some verlinden cargos as well. I used lead foil for the straps on the packs wich i think adds some neat detail to the model.

Trumpeteer Leopold

A very large build. Now the box itself is quite big same size as the locomotive, but the model is a much different story, this dang thing is big!. Build so far is easyerish than the engine but the neat thing i found was the option of using a turntable for display. Good if your going to display the model in a corner somewhere, but im sticking with the streight track, just gona need a very long shelf when i connect both the br52's track and the leopolds track, but should be my biggest model to date. Now back to the leo. The trucks are a major pain in the but i found, not difficult but tedious and very very repetative. Make one of something x16 etc etc. The middle section was the fun part, building the big compensating gun lol. Take special care when building this area, i made a couple mistakes with alignment, luckily i cought them and fixed them except for the adjustable platform behinde the breach. Gona have to mod that part but no biggie. I still have to add the eduard update brass. The model is going to be painted panzer grey because i cant do the camo pattern cuz i dont have a airbrush no the skills to use one yet. Stay tooned for more updates and review on the WC51 beep and a US scout car wich are almost completed.

Dragon Karl morser

This is turning out to be a rather simple and fast build, and im even using the eduard photo etc kits too. This is just a progress pic, to be honest the piece is almost done and expect to finish it this week so stay tuned!

Italeri SAS jeep

I started this one a little while ago, and been tinkering with it now and then when the loco was drying etc, a very very simple build, almost idiot proof. No upgrades for this one, i added some netting between the fuel tanks for filler, got to dull down the guns tho, a bit shinny but some good ol dust weathering should do the trick.

BR-52 done

Finnaly after many months i have finished construction, alls left is decals n weathering but thats for later, the pic i posted isnt that good its more of a temp because im waiting till i have the leopold built for a together complete photo session, thats for the future months from now tho. To be honest this was a long tedi

ous build, got boreing sometimes and the paiting was a pain but over all im quite happy with the finished product as well as the extensive detail.

BR-52 update

Well heres another update, first pic is of the 3 seperate sections, the cab, the boiler and the frame. The boiler is still undergoing painting had a few runs so thats why sections of it looked scuffed had to drop and give er 20 for that snafu. The cab is done internaly, externaly it will be done as the project comes along. The frame looks rather nice, i really like the red. I included a pic of all the 3 sections together, not glued in place but together to get a idea of how the finished train will look like as one. Keep checking up for more progress images and info...Cam out.

BR-52 update

Well another update one on the left is mine with the eduard upgrade, all painted now and detailed/weathered and some added coal dirt to liven things up. the picture on the right is how it is suposed to look stock from the box. That upgrade kit from eduard sure is worth it dont ya think?

BR-52 update

Well heres a update on the locomotive, the furnace basepainted with some of the valves with their first coat of red. Still some more detailing to do like brassing the gauges and levels, and coppering the lines etc. then some weathering. Still needs more work but looks much better now than it did yesterday.

BR-52 Kriegslocomotive

My next big project by trumpeter using eduards detail sets. Heres the firebox? whatever it is, all the photo

etch took a while, still more to do before i paint this part lol.

Dragon wagon

Tamiyas dragon wagon with Royal models upgrade detail set. A rather fun to build kit and time consuming. Kit took me about 4 months to complete and i still have to do the weathering to do. Kit went together with no problems except for the pain in the but exhaust and the missing resin ammo rack. But with the few setback i managed to complete the kit and highly reccomend it. Its definatly not for begginers bucause its really 3-4 kits in one, the winch section being a rather complex one. So all in all a great kit, keep a eye out for my next one trumpeters br-52

locomotive.

Next Review The Dragon Wagon

My next posting will be the Dragon Wagon by tamiya with the Royal Model upgrade. The model is %90 done, just a few more pieces to attach then weathering, so stay tuned.

German flak 88 diorama

The flak 88is a 1:32 diecast/plastic prebuilt model from Forces of valor. This one is beautifly designed and built. The 2 control wheels adjust the barrels height and angel. The model only came with 3 shells and the figures come with it as well.

The diorama base is a picture frame, the ground work is celuclay shaped around the fortified dirt mounds made by build-a-rama which included the polls and netting. The shells are made by verlinden which are not bad, tedious repatative painting is required. The dirt is sand weatherd with acrylics and the grass made by Heki which i highly reccomend.
